It’s been a while… but we’re back with our biggest update to date.
Our team has been heads down developing new tools for creators, enhanced collaboration features, and a more open, welcoming community. Plus, we got a makeover! 💅 cue makeover montage scene
As we take the next step on our journey to expand our vision, we are excited to grow our community with the development of our Storybuilding platform, and the collaboration protocol that's behind it.
Let’s get into it.
Previously, access to creating content on the Adim platform was gated. With this release, we’re changing that.
It is our belief that anyone can be a creator, and that anyone should have access to the tools they need to tell their story.
So, we’ve opened up the ability to create content on the site to all users.
This means that anyone can create Characters, Stories, and other content Blocks (more on these below) as a solo creator, without needing to participate in a Creator Room.
Great stories include a few core elements: memorable characters, a gripping plot, and a solid structure. Recognizing this, we’ve developed a toolkit to streamline your process of constructing narratives using these core elements. We call this Storybuilding.
Storybuilders (that’s you!) are equipped with Blocks, which can be combined, assembled, and re-assembled to create compelling, boundless narrative universes. Blocks include:
Projects: A playground for building related Blocks, and an organizational hub for all of the Characters, Settings and Stories that make up a single narrative universe.
Stories: Stories are structured, multi-media blocks where you can bring your plot to life in a dynamic, structured multimedia format composed of individual parts.
Characters: You know ‘em, you love ‘em. Characters are beings who exist in your Story.
Settings: Any location where your Story takes place.
Each Block is a piece of the bigger narrative and can be enhanced with rich media content including text, images, and videos. Published Blocks can be found in our Block Gallery.
Through Quests, creators can post calls-to-action on any Project, Character, or Setting inviting community members to collaborate on details of the Block. Quests allow all users to provide their own contributions to your work — such as a new Character or a new plot point in your Story — transforming Block pages into a hub of community collaboration.
In global collaboration news, we’ve transitioned Prompts to Discussions, which now include more robust threading, upvotes, and media support.
Lastly, while Verified Leads are still the only users allowed to set up new Creator Rooms, we’ve made the Verified Lead application available to all users. You can start the app from your profile page at any time to get Verified and begin collaborating on Blocks in your very own Room.
These updates are still just the beginning, as we continue working to grow and enhance our creator toolset for building and sharing stories.
For a taste of what’s to come, here’s a glimpse into our future roadmap:
When creating a Story, use our pre-defined templates to build complete narratives following a tried-and-true structure.
Easily link related Blocks, and seamlessly reference Blocks within Stories to tie your worlds together.
Earn XP and reputation for responding to Quests and completing actions on the site. Plus, show your fan loyalty by racking up points on Project-specific leaderboards.
Register content to define official ownership over your IP.
Improved sharing of Stories and Blocks, with sexy graphics for sharing off-platform.
Building the technical infrastructure to support this new creative paradigm requires top-tier talent. We are thrilled to welcome Krzysztof Paruch as our Chief Technology Officer, who is spearheading the design of the Adim Protocol. This protocol underpins our collaborative storybuilding model, employing equitable incentive structures to facilitate IP creation and compensation. At its core, the protocol establishes the framework for IP creation, sharing, and monetization. It ensures transparency and equity by providing clear incentives for all stakeholders. Constructing this community-centric system is pivotal for a thriving storytelling economy.
Joining Paruch to lead the Adim protocol implementation and our VP of Engineering Alexei Mihalopoulos to lead platform development is our talented engineering team including Petr Kosikhin, Jared Szi, Sam McCord, and Christopher Seckler. With our team’s technical prowess and creative vision, Adim is poised to make this future a reality.

We can’t wait to see what you create!
